Ecological Alert and Recovery – Thailand (EARTH) and the Pro Bono Lawyer Network of Thailand (PLNT) held the first of four workshops to be conducted in 2021 under the topic “Use and Engagement of Legal Knowledge for the Protection of Health and Environment”.

This first workshop was conducted at Chachoengsao province in Thailand’s Eastern Region, where industrial pollution is rampant.

Leaders of local communities and citizens affected by industrial pollution in the Eastern provinces participated in the event, where issues such as the role of local administrations and civil lawsuits were discussed.

The next three workshops will be conducted through the rest of the year on 30 October 2021, 13 November 2021 and 27 November 2021. Each workshop will be conducted in different regions of the country to ensure ease of participation for widest set of populations. All sessions will be conducted in Thai language.

Participations include limited on-site participations and joining through ZOOM application. All workshops will be broadcasted live on the Facebook page: มูลนิธิบูรณะนิเวศ (EARTH).
